Biography

Tim McLain currently serves as the director of flight operations for the Atmospheric Radiation Measurement Aerial Facility in Pasco, Washington. McLain is responsible for both the crewed and uncrewed aviation programs. He is one of three pilots for the Challenger 850 aircraft and directly supervises seven staff members. Prior to joining PNNL in 2020, McLain served as an officer and pilot in the United States Air Force for 20 years, followed by an additional 10 years as a civilian employee for the United States Air Force.
