In January 2018, the Unique Building Identification (UBID) package was released for the Python programming language. The buildings and energy community has adopted UBID. To support and encourage the community, it is vital that the UBID project release new versions of the "encode", "decode" and "isValid" UBID functions that target the programming languages that the are used by the community; in this case, the JavaScript programming language.
