Abstract
The invention is designed to both oriented a radar antenna to any point in the sky and stabilize against floating platform motion. A key feature of the radar system is it mechanical leverage system: slider-crank lever coupled to a front mount cross-roller bearing, which performs a similar function as a swash plate in a helicopter rotor hub assembly. In combination with industrial grade solenoid actuators enable the system to an unparalleled platform compensation that enable radar scanning strategies in rough seas. The second key feature is the versatility for off-the-self radar transmission product integration. This will serve has a cost-effective means for existing radar user to retro-fit this actuation/stabilization system for the user's preferred radar brand (e.g., Furuno…).
