Biography
August George is currently a postdoctoral research associate at the Environmental Molecular Sciences Laboratory on the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory campus. Broadly speaking, his research aims to develop and deploy high-performance computational methods in order to better understand complex biophysical systems and datasets. Recently his work has focused on the calibration and simulation of complex biochemical network models, as well as the classification of proteins from noisy and distorted imaging datasets. He holds a PhD in biomedical engineering from Oregon Health and Science University, and a BS in physics from Portland State University.
