John Hubbe is the Payload Director for the Department of Energy (DOE) ARM Aerial Facility (AAF), which operates a Gulfstream I (G-1) as the principal airborne platform for the ARM Climate Research Facility (ACRF). Most of the current work is focused on the formation, evolution, and radiative effects of atmospheric particulate matter, and of clouds, and the interactions between paticulate matter and clouds. Previous airborne campaigns focused primarily on the formation of oxidants in urban atmospheres, and related boundary-layer studies. Mr. Hubbe's principal research interests are in airborne instrumentation and measurement.
