Biosystms Dynamics & Simula
Pacific Northwest National Laboratory
PO Box 999
MSIN: K8-91
Richland, WA 99352

Dr. Srinivasan is a staff scientist at EMSL. His primary research interest is in the field of eco-hydrological modeling, and he is the developer of the plant canopy model PlantGro. His research investigates the behavior, functioning, and response of ecosystems under different environmental conditions. He is investigating the impact of drought, salinity, and heat stress on ecosystems with implications for food and water security, and biofuel production.

Research Interests

  • Eco-hydrological and hydro-climatological ecosystem modeling under environmental change
  • Food and water security under future climate through dynamic vegetation modeling
  • Optimality and resilience in complex adaptive systems and its application in dynamic vegetation modeling
  • Numerical and analytical modeling of reactive contaminants in groundwater
