Julia Laskin Joins American Society for Mass Spectrometry Board of Directors
Congratulations to Julia Laskin for her recent appointment to the American Society for Mass Spectrometry Board of Directors. The ASMS promotes and disseminates knowledge of mass spectrometry and allied topics. It currently includes over 5,500 scientists involved in research and development.
Julia will act as treasurer of the Board, making her responsible for funds and annual budget preparation. She will make recommendations to the Board relevant to preserving the economic health of the Society and present a financial report at each annual meeting.
Julia has been a member of ASMS since 1999. Her research interests focus on the fundamental aspects of collisional activation and dissociation of protonated model peptides. Her research efforts emphasize activation of large ions in a single collision with surfaces using a specially designed Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometer.
Congratulations again, Julia!
