Team Battelle Project Director Nikki Avery Helps Raise Money for Animal Shelter

Nikki Avery
Congratulations to Nikki Avery who, as Team Battelle Project Manager for Paws in the Park, led a group of Pacific Northwest National Laboratory staff in a sponsored walk for the Benton-Franklin Humane Society. Nikki's team and their four-legged friends walked a 1-mile loop, raising over one-third of the money earned at the event. This money will provide food, medications, spay and neuter surgery, and microchips for local strays.
Nikki also took the time, while personally collecting $569 in sponsorships, to gather donations of dried food and rawhide bones from staff around the Laboratory for the dogs waiting for new homes at the shelter.
Thank you, Nikki, for your enthusiasm and hard work! Thank you, everyone, for taking time on a beautiful Saturday morning to help our local animal shelter.

These dedicated members of Team Battelle's Paws in the Park group raised $3,213 for the Benton-Franklin Humane Society.
