Washington Ranked #1 in Software Publishing Jobs, #3 in Tech Wages

According to the annual Cyberstates report from the TechAmerica Foundation, tech workers in Washington earned an average annual wage of $110,200, placing Washington in third place in terms of tech wages. In addition to high wages, Washington is also ranked 10th for tech employment, with 191,000 tech workers accounting for 8.2 percent of the workforce in 2012. The state also continues to boast the most software publishing jobs in the country at 51,700 workers. Driving these numbers are companies such as Microsoft,, and Tableau, as well as the arrival of engineering offices of such companies as eBay and Splunk. Read more...
