The Well Logging MSTS Admin Tool is a PC software application that is used to configure and communicate to the different hardware devices that are used in the MSTS system to track radiological materials. The Admin Tool is used to upload data from the MSTS system related to the specifics of the installation and configuration of the system. The Admin Tool is used during the installation process of the MSTS system for configuring the eTags and MCU, and communicating that configuration information to a central database where users are able to view and track data. It is also used during any procedure where eTags are replaced or the MSTS system is being upgraded. Specifically the Admin Tool uses Blue Tooth Low Energy BLE communications to interface with the eTags and write data to them, read data from them, and set their installation state. It interfaces with the Well Logging MCU using WiFi to read log and installation data from the MCU. In order to operate the AdminTool requires a Bluegiga BLED112 Bluetooth (Trademark) Low Energy Dongle to be installed as well as WiFi to be available on the computer running the Admin Tool.
