Build from Source

Velo Server

Velo Server source code is available on the public mirror (coming soon) for download. This guide explains how to build and deploy the Velo Server from its source code.

Once you have a Velo Server running you can either build the Velo Desktop Client to run against it, or you can download Velo Desktop Client installer and just point it to your server. Here’s how to configure the installed Velo Desktop Client to connect to your locally installed Velo Server:

  1. While installing the Velo Desktop Client note the directory you selected to install into.
  2. Inside that directory you’ll find a file named repository.properties. Open that file in a simple text editor.
  3. Change the hostname and http.port values to reflect the name and port your Velo Server is running on.
