Jackie Kerby Moore, Executive Director
Sandia Science & Technology Park
Jackie Kerby Moore is the executive director of the Sandia Science & Technology Park and has been since its inception in 1998. This 200+ acre technology community is located adjacent to Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, New Mexico. In her role as executive director, Jackie oversees all aspects of the Park – including the management, marketing, recruiting of tenant companies, and securing of funding for infrastructure improvements. The Park now serves as home for 27 organizations employing more than 2100 people, and total investment in the Park exceeds $301 million.
In recognition of its success, the Sandia Science & Technology Park has received the Technology-Led Economic Development Award from the U.S. Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration, Outstanding Partnership Award from the Federal Laboratories Consortium Mid-Continent Region, President's Award from the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP), and Roadrunner and Pinon Awards from Quality New Mexico. The Park has also been recognized with Public/Private Partnership Awards from the New Mexico State Land Office, Mid-Region Council of Governments, and the International Economic Development Council. Last month the Park received the Small Business Advocate Award from the Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce.
In related activities, Jackie is past president of the Board of Directors for the Association of University Research Parks, an international association. During her years leading the Association, she chaired the first-ever Washington, D.C. Summit on Research Parks. She serves on the Advisory Board for Arrowhead Research Park, the Business and Industry Advisory Cabinet for the Vice President of Research and Economic Development at the University of New Mexico, and she is a member of Albuquerque Economic Development, Albuquerque Hispano Chamber of Commerce, Association of Commerce & Industry, Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce, New Mexico Economic Forum, and the International Economic Development Council.
Jackie is equally active with community service organizations and currently serves on the Advisory Councils for the National Assistance League and the Assistance League of Albuquerque. In recent years, she served as President of the Board of Directors for the YWCA Middle Rio Grande Council and Camp Fire Boys and Girls New Mexico Council.
Jackie is widely recognized for her activities. She has been honored with a Woman on the Move Award; a Woman Sustaining the American Spirit Award; and a Smart, Savvy, and Successful Woman Award. She is annually selected as one of New Mexico's Power Brokers and appeared on the cover of New Mexico Woman Magazine. Jackie has been featured on CNBC Television and is a frequent participant on local radio shows in New Mexico. In addition, she regularly speaks on the topic of research parks at conferences and events throughout the world, including China, Taiwan, Finland, France, Netherlands, and Germany.
Jackie has a Bachelors of Business Administration Degree and a Masters of Business Administration Degree from New Mexico Universities.
