PNNL is actively engaged in the private and government communities to secure computing assets and information and protect the national computer infrastructure. Specifically, the laboratory is focusing on three things: responding to the unforeseen, defending against predicted attacks, and building protections for its internal and external client's computer systems.

PNNL has successfully developed a suite of cyber security tools and established partnerships with numerous academic institutions to stay ahead of emerging threats to computer systems.
