Cindy Bruckner-Lea Elected AAAS Fellow
Cindy Bruckner-Lea has been elected Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS). The AAAS is an international non-profit organization dedicated to advancing science around the world by serving as an educator, leader, spokesperson and professional association. Each year the council elects members whose "efforts on behalf of the advancement of science or its applications are scientifically or socially distinguished." Bruckner-Lea is being honored for her groundbreaking contributions to the field of bioengineering, particularly for development of biosensors and bioanalytical systems at the interfaces between chemistry, biology and engineering.
