City of Kennewick teams up with developers to help create workable solutions to challenging economic conditions that exist today. We work together on start up business and new development. We are working on three majors areas of Kennewick Southridge development, Bridge to Bridge and Vista Entertainment District. Working with our Infrastructure Committee we can help get the best infrastructure in place for development to take place. Regulatory Assistance
The Department of Economic Development offers regulatory assistance through our Development Services department; reviewing housing, commercial, industrial and other projects within Kennewick. Assistance obtaining building permits, zoning, land use applications and SEPA information can be obtained by contacting Wes Romine, Development Services Manager, at (509) 585-4558, fax (509) 585-4442, or wes.romine@ci.kennewick.wa.us. A "One-Stop" permitting center handling everything from installing a fence to major commercial developments is located in City Hall and makes a concerted effort to ensure that projects move as quickly and efficiently as possible through to their completion.

Site Selection
Kennewick has a wide range of real estate opportunities for your development; The Clearwater Business Park Master Plan, the Southridge Sub-Area Master Plan, Vista Field, Dickerson Industrial Park, and Clover Island. The City of Kennewick provides water and sanitary sewer services at some of the lowest rates in the state. Electricity is provided through the Benton Public Utility District.
