The Hanford Technical Library’s collections of over 1,000,000 items -- subscriptions to electronic databases, journals, standards and codes, technical reports and books -- are available to the business community and to the public. Information professionals provide literature and patent searches and analysis of the results. Using proprietary services such as STN International as well as the library’s subscription databases and other resources world-wide, you or the library staff can search for journals, conference proceedings, patents, newsletters, newspapers, technical reports, and other sources essential to your research. Some services are available only on a cost-recovery basis Corporate Accounts with the library. These services include in-depth research by the library’s information professionals, borrowing privileges, document delivery, and interlibrary borrowing.
Information professionals offer numerous demonstrations and classes for using the electronic products subscribed to by the library and available to the public via library computers. For a listing of demonstrations and presentations on library services, see http://libraryweb.pnl.gov/services/tours.stm or contact the Information Desk: 372-7430.
Information professionals provide reference and research assistance from resources in the library’s collection of subscription databases and journals, books, standards and codes, and technical reports from the Hanford Site and other U.S. government agencies. Most electronic resources are available to the business community and public from the computers in the library.
