PNNL Receives $1.1 Million to Boost Transportation Technologies

New funding from the U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy now supports three new advanced vehicle research projects at PNNL. The projects will improve fuel efficiency while reducing engine emissions. These projects are part of a suite of 38 new projects around the nation to improve advanced transportation technologies.  The PNNL projects include in-depth analysis of
lightweight magnesium alloys, chemical development of a new type of engine lubricant, and computer modeling for improved welding. Read more ...
