About Carla Meine & O'Currance Teleservices
Carla Meine founded O'Currance Teleservices in 1994, a national leader in inbound-call management through Web-based virtual offices and remote telesales agents. The 600-employee Salt Lake City company handles inbound consumer calls from various marketing promotions, including radio, television, direct mail, newspaper and Internet campaigns. The company provides telemarketing, telesales, and call center operations for nationally known clients and name-brand products in nearly every industry. O'Currance has been widely recognized for its highly trained sales force, which consistently generates higher-than-industry-standard conversion rates from inbound calls. In 2007, Meine sold O'Currance Teleservices to Riverlake Partners, an Oregon-based private equity group.
O'Currance Teleservices has been recognized as one of Utah's fastest growing companies for six years, as a "Best of State" winner for consumer services/call center companies, and as a top woman-owned company, along with numerous industry honors. Carla Meine was an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year in 2003.
Before starting O'Currance, Meine held executive positions at Morris Airlines (which was sold to Southwest Airlines), Mrs. Fields Cookies, and Godfather's Pizza, focusing on business growth and increased profitability.
Meine is the Vice President of Communications for the National Association of Women Business Owners and a member of the National Advisory Council for the Business school for Utah Valley State College. As a motivational speaker, she shares her insights on topics such as starting a business, raising money, creating an effective sales team, and delivering superior customer service.
